Hi,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When on call, i use Screen Sharing option. This is available just above the Skype chat window labelled as Share. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Is there anyway to record Screen Sharing as well? I use Pamela Professional Version 4.6.0.62. Hi guys...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;can anyone tell me if Pamela has the answer to this wee problem:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I use my skype for business, (optician)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I prefer to send sms to customers than call their expensive cell phones here in UK. the problem is i dont have business cell phones at reception..does anyone?!?! But I cant set my sms id to my shop landline number, or change the text id to something recognisable. so sms id is out of the question. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;so i thought i could preformat some messages to contain my contact telephone number in them. There are only about 5 types of msg i send, eg: your specs are ready please collect. optique opticians 02086454646. etc or: your appointment is this afternoon at 4pm. Optique opticians 020872326821&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;this would solve my problem but again its not available in skype&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;so.. can i set preformatted txts in pamela? or can youu guys think of another way round this very simple issue that skype unfortunately doesnt address?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;img src="./images/smilies/nerd.png" alt="8-|" title="Nerd" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

I haven't seen any posts that are recent with this problem, but I'm having it. I have the latest version of Pamela (just downloaded it yesterday) and have the latest version of Skype.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The indicator shows that the call is being recorded, but after I end the Skype call there is no call in the list. A search of .mp3 files in my computer does not turn the calls up anywhere, either. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How can I fix this?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

1.  I'm not sure why this is happening, but I'd like to stop it.  I have restarted Skype and Pamela, but because it says &quot;Pamela Call Transfer&quot; I am presuming it is popping up due to Pamela.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When I call my Skypein number from any phone, my Skype window shows that a call is incoming. But then Pamela pops up a window saying &quot;Pamela Call Transfer&quot; and &quot;Select where you want to transfer current call to&quot;. I don't understand this prompt because I don't want to transfer the current call anywhere. I just want my voice mail, etc. to answer the call.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'd like to know what is causing this and how to prevent the window from showing up.  It seems to shop up for a short time, the disappears.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How can I stop it??   (I attached a screen shot.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2.  Is there anything that Skylook does that Pamela doesn't?  I was looking at their product and wasn't sure if there was anything that Skylook does that Pamela doesn't. What's more nothing asks if I want to record the call when I am on a Skype call.  I have Pamela Professional. Nothing seems to start a recording. No choice, no button, nothing comes up asking me if I want to record so I tried various buttons. Nothing does anything I can detect except occupy space on the screen. It seems to me they are not &quot;enabled.&quot; For example the Call record start button, stop button, emotion sounds button and call list button etc are kind of phantom images instead of vivid.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And please note you never replied to my last post. Please answer my last post as well. I am trying to use your product. But your documentation is not clear. For example, as I mentioned in my email, do you realize, your documentation makes an English reading customer think he has to download one of the older versions of Pamela and then upgrade to Professional rather than start with Pamela Professional?  Several commenters on the Forum have told you that you need a professional technical writer. You do. In the end it will save you time and avoid ruining Pamela's reputation.  Meanwhile can you please, please, provide the technical support you promise at the time of purchase, you promise will be unlimited? I don't need UNLIMITED support. Just enough to get started. Or should I rue the day I bought it?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Hi Glen,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yes, it has been fixed with the downgrade we did - 4.7 had this bad bug and so we updated 4.6 and released it to replace 4.7.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

After a bit of a play I didn't manage to get it recording from the start of the call, so have removed it from Skype.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;While it's not automatic, so not nearly as convenient, to get the call recorded from the start I'm using Audacity.  I hit record before making the call and crop the leading dialtone and trailing silence.  Thankfully I don't need to record inbound calls, nor do we have a large volume of calls, or this would be most tedious.  Will continue to watch development here to see if this gets resolved for an automatic alternative.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cheers !&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Per the instructions in the Knowledgebase, I have set up my Pam Pro options to record both incoming and outgoing calls automatically. Pamela, however, is not recording. In fact, I can't even get it to manually record a call. I totally uninstalled Pam, rebooted and did a clean reinstall, all with the same result.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Can anyone provide guidance on how to troubleshoot this and solve this?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Assuming you get my registration issue handled I want to move on to questions about how I might like to handle recorded interviews. Let's suppose I get SkypeInOut and I send via email  questions to someone for them to call into a Pamela for a videographed recording. (1) Do I have to be in attendance to turn something on etc. to have it record? (2) If no: Can I send them a subsequent email with additional questions, have them call in again  and even if another caller called in before their second call-in, record and somehow link, attach, merge the two call-ins together as one might do with an editing tool? If yes can you direct me to help in this regard?  Can there be any voice promting interaction as in a prerecorded question and a tone for them to answer and when answered another prerecorded question, etc.? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;ALSO: Can I delete undesired parts of the call and save same?   Will what I put on my domain and syndicate go back to your server by hyperlinks or will they be documents I  can save on my server and which I can save on my PC? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If there is a deletion possible, will there be some kind of visual or auditory announcement that something has been deleted?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

I am trying the send to the person whom I interviewed in the beginning of June 2010 the recording. I keep getting the message that forwarding fails. Even the test message forwarding failed. I wonder if you could help me please. I am not even sure where I could start looking for the problem.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do the email has to be the same as the email I provided when I purchased Business Pamela?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kristina&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

The long delay before recording could be caused by having too many codecs installed on your machine.  I've corresponded with a Pamela support rep awhile back and that ended up being the problem.  Trouble was, they could not tell me which ones were absolutely necessary to use Skype and Pamela, or were the basic one necessary for WMP, iTunes, etc.  A bit of trial and error and I got rid of enough to cut the delay down to a minimum.  Use the system monitor to watch the processor utilization graph as you start a call recording.  I'll bet it is maxing out at 100% at the start of the call.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for starting a recording before a call is connected (pre-roll), I haven't found anything yet. Would be a nice feature. &lt;img src="./images/smilies/wink.png" alt=":wink:" title="Wink" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

In frühere Versionen von Skype wurde das Mikro und Lautsprecher stummgeschaltet - seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr. Wir haben schon nach einer alternative Lösung geschaut aber da gibts keine.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

I am an author who wants to do video interviews for P.R. reasons, post them on my web page, or a hyperlink to them, and syndicate them to other pages including YouTube etc. Is this possible for interviews over 15 minute intervals? Under 15 minute intervals if not over? If yes, what do I buy and please provide links for instructions to follow. I do not yet have any version of Pamela.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

1. Meine gespeicherten Nachrichten werden leider nur mit externen Programmen wiedergegeben, in meinem Fall eben mit Winamp. Das ist ein wenig lästig. Was muss ich tun das die Aufzeichnungen in Pamela wiedergegeben werden.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Wenn der AB ran geht kann mich der Anrufer hören was er ja, wenn der AB ran geht, eben nicht soll.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Greetings,&lt;br /&gt;I am new to Pamela but happy to be here! &lt;g&gt; &lt;br /&gt;I am having a problem with the activation code, when I put it into the approprate place I receive a pop up window saying:&lt;br /&gt;&quot;Registration failed. Server returns error: this activation code is not validated for the installed Pamela version. Please install the purchased version then try again.&quot;&lt;br /&gt;I bought the Professional version of Pamela for Skype after using the free trial version. Thinking this may be the problem I redownloaded P4S Prof Vs but when I try to activate it I receive the same message.&lt;br /&gt;any help appreciated.&lt;br /&gt;thanks&lt;br /&gt;Lynn&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
